The Henry Family - Hiring in Boston

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Watanabe Family with 2 Children

Full-Time Nanny — Jamaica Plain, Boston

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5:30pm (50 hrs/week)
Start date: Flexible, targeting mid-Nov to early Dec 2026 (possible part-time bridge role from Oct 5 for the right fit)
Pay: Competitive, on the books (W-2), top of local market for the right candidate
Kids: Daughter, almost 2 (part-time daycare); infant son (primary focus of this role)

About us: Two working parents, bilingual household (English/Japanese). This isn't an urgent replacement — our current nanny of 2 years is transitioning out for personal reasons, and we're taking our time to find the right long-term fit. We're planning a paid overlap/training period with her before the new hire starts solo.

What we're looking for: warm, affectionate, and proactive — someone who anticipates needs rather than waiting to be told. Excellent, direct communicator. Developmentally engaged (reading, talking, playing, encouraging independence). Comfortable supporting an infant and, at times, a toddler together. Looking for a long-term, multi-year fit, not a short-term placement.

The role: primary daytime care for our infant son; occasional support with our daughter (before/after daycare, occasional pickup/drop-off); light child-related household tasks (kids' laundry, daycare lunch prep, tidying kids' spaces, weekly trash to curb). Not a housekeeping role.

Requirements: valid driver's license, comfortable driving regularly (daycare pickup/drop-off is routine); reliable and experienced with infants/toddlers; strong English communication.

Location: Jamaica Plain — commutable distance welcome, proximity a plus.

Please reach out with your experience, availability, and what you're looking for in your next role!

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Lin Family with 3 Children

Family Needs: Combined Nanny/Housekeeper/Family Assistant Search (Boston)

Position type: Live-out (not live-in).
Role: One person only for a combined Nanny/Housekeeper/Family Assistant role.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. End time is flexible and tracks pick-up time — if pick-up runs later, the day ends later accordingly.
Children: Three children, ages 11, 9, and 2.
Duties: School drop-off (~7:30 AM) and pick-up for the two older children (ages 11 and 9); helping care for the youngest (age 2) alongside mom during the day; general housework; dinner prep each evening.
Transportation: The family provides a car for this role to use — no personal vehicle needed for job duties. Parking is believed to be available on-site/nearby since the property is in the city; public transit is also accessible.
Home: Approximately 4,500 sq ft, single-level condo (no stairs), located in the Seaport area of Boston. No pets.
Language: Mandarin is required, Cantonese is a strong plus. Open to either a Taiwanese or Mainland Chinese background/dialect.
Commitment: Long-term position, at least a 1-year commitment expected.
Timeline: Looking to start as soon as possible, ideally before the school semester begins in September; absolute latest start date is October 1st.
