A little bit about us

We are seeking our very own Mary Poppins to be our nanny in Sugar Land. My daughter is 7 years old and I am a single mother. The perfect nanny for us has a good-hearted firmness, someone who instills a sense of wonder as well as a respect for limits. (Magical powers not required 😉)

We want someone who has a "Can Do" attitude. Our perfect nanny likes to have fun and is really hands on. Someone who will make learning fun for homework and tutoring where my daughter needs improvement. We want someone who will plan and participate in fun activities with my daughter.

Must Have:
The nanny must be a non smoker, has own transportation, first aid trained, can swim,
and can pass a background/drug test.

Light Housekeeping:
I have a weekly house cleaner for deep cleaning,
but need someone to straighten up each day and help with laundry.

Cooking & Errands:
A big plus if you are a great cook but not required.
Will need to run errands and be willing to learn to cook as needed.

Tutoring Help:
After school tutoring on areas she needs improvement. She has ADHD and needs a tutor that is patient, consistent, and compassionate.

Schedule Details:
Monday to Friday
3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Schedule:
🕘 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📅 Approximately 20–25 hours per week to start
👶 Once our baby arrives in about three months, we plan to increase the hours to accommodate both children.

We would especially love to find someone with previous experience in childcare, daycare, Montessori, or as a professional nanny. Experience working with toddlers and infants is a big plus.

Responsibilities will include:
• Caring for our 2-year-old
• Engaging in age-appropriate play, learning, and activities
• Helping with our toddler’s daily routine
• Eventually caring for both our toddler and newborn
• During children’s downtime/nap time, helping with light household tasks around the kitchen, such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, wiping down counters, tidying the kitchen, and cleaning up after the children
• Keeping the children’s play and eating areas tidy

Childcare will always be the primary responsibility. The light household help would only be expected when the children are safely occupied, resting, or sleeping.

Our ideal nanny is:
• Warm, nurturing, and patient
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual
• Experienced with young children
• Familiar with Montessori or play-based learning
• Comfortable caring for both toddlers and infants
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified)
• Able to provide references
• Interested in a long-term position and increasing hours as our family grows

📍 Location: Sugar Land, TX
💰 Pay: $18-$20/hour, some upward flexibility depending on experience

My son is 20 months old, I also have two golden doodles who will be there by your side everyday, must like dogs.
