A little bit about us

UWS family seeking a full-time family assistant / nanny, starting ASAP.

We're a pregnant stay-at-home mom and a 17-month-old boy on the Upper West Side. We need someone who can take real ownership of the day: childcare, healthy meals, laundry, household organization, groceries and errands, and help through postpartum once the baby arrives. Hours will be full-time weekdays and should grow with the second child. This is a long-term role.

We're looking for someone warm, proactive, and highly organized who genuinely likes being with little kids. Professional childcare experience is required, especially with infants and toddlers. A college degree is required. A background in teaching, education, psychology, or child development is a big plus. CPR/First Aid and non-smoker required. Spanish is a plus, not required. Strong references (or 5-star reviews) matter a lot to us.

The right person is educated, energetic, and looking for a full-time role they can grow into with our family, not occasional babysitting. If that sounds like you, please send a short note about your recent families, your weekday availability, and when you can start.

NANNY/ COMPANION/ FRIEND FOR OUR 16 Y.O. GIRL WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

PLEASE BE RELIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE

Looking for a warm, dependable after-school companion for our 16-year-old daughter, who has special needs. We live on the Upper East Side.
She is independent, fully mobile, and verbal, though not conversational. We're hoping to find someone patient, kind, energetic, and responsible who is genuinely interested in building a trusting, long-term relationship with her.
The role: spending afternoons with her, playing video games, going with her to classes and activities, and taking her to movies, shows, and other outings. Some occasional evening availability helps too.

**Schedule:**

- Monday to Friday, 2 to 7 p.m.
- School holidays and breaks, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Occasional evenings, arranged in advance

Given these hours, this position likely isn't a good fit for college students unless they're studying remotely.

This is a long-term position with competitive pay, guaranteed hours, paid vacation, and extra pay for major federal holidays.

Special-needs experience is a strong plus, but patience, good judgment, reliability, and a caring personality matter most. Fluent English is required.

**Full-Time Nanny / Household Manager — Upper East Side (40 hrs/week)**

We're a family on the Upper East Side looking for a warm, capable, and highly organized person to join us full-time as both caregiver to our two daughters (ages 9 and 10) and manager of our home. This is a long-term position and we're hoping to find someone who wants to grow with our family.

The girls are independent and don't need constant supervision — what they need is someone to steward their afternoons. That means homework, snacks, activities, getting them to and from where they need to be, and generally keeping their world in order until I'm home from work.

The rest of the day is home management. Meal prep for the family, housekeeping and daily tidying, errands, and ongoing organization — seasonal closet rotations, keeping the girls' rooms sorted as sizes and toys change, and staying ahead of the things that pile up when no one is watching them.

Our mornings start early, so we need a genuine morning person who's ready to go from the first bell. We're in the city, so confidence navigating the subway with kids is essential. No driving required.

Who thrives in this role: someone who moves fluidly between tasks and takes real ownership of the household rather than waiting to be assigned each thing. If you see the laundry basket, the empty fridge, and the outgrown winter coats without being told, we will get along well. Kind with kids, discreet, and reliable are non-negotiable.

What we offer: a genuinely warm household, clear communication, respect for your time, and a family that treats this as a professional role with room to shape how things run.

**Details:** Full-time, 40 hours/week, live-out. Upper East Side, Manhattan. Start date September (some flexibility for the right person). Compensation discussed during the interview process — we pay competitively and on the books.

Please reach out with a bit about yourself and your experience with school-age children. References required.

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Pramanik Family with 2 Children

Warm, active family seeking an experienced, flexible nanny/family assistant starting early September (ideally Sept 8). Looking for someone who can commit through the school year and ideally longer.
Family: 3-month-old baby and a 4.5-year-old (school M–F mornings). Primary focus is the baby, plus help with school drop-off/pick-up, holidays, and occasional evenings. Mom is home and involved — you'd be hands-on with the baby's daily care, with mom deciding on activities/classes and nearby to collaborate. Supportive partnership, not solo coverage.
Responsibilities (even split of childcare & household):
* Infant care and age-appropriate activities
* Help with our 4.5-year-old outside school hours, incl. occasional pickup
* Family laundry (wash, fold, put away)
* Tidying toys/common areas; light cleaning (vacuum, mop, countertops)
* Dishwasher loading/unloading
* Simple food prep for kids and occasionally the family
* Occasional errands and evening/date-night babysitting
Schedule: ~30–35 hrs/week, consistent once set (some flexibility possible, e.g. a student's class schedule). Wednesdays 8 AM–12 PM required; other mornings most helpful; occasional evenings a plus. Paid for scheduled hours even if plans change.
Compensation & benefits:
* $25–30/hr based on experience (higher end for early childhood ed background + strong infant experience)
* 1–2 weeks PTO + major holidays; paid sick leave per NY law
* Modest rate increase during Hamptons weeks (live-in)
Location: Starts Midtown East (E 50s), likely moving to UES within ~6 months. Summers largely in the Hamptons — ideally 5 days/week live-in (preferred, not required). Driving a plus for camp pickup/errands; car provided.
Requirements:
* Experience with young babies required; references required
* Strong English; French or Bengali a plus
* Non-smoker; reliable, warm, proactive, comfortable taking initiative
To apply: send a brief intro, relevant experience, availability, and references. Looking forward to meeting you!

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Jarouche Family with 1 Child

Full-Time Nanny Needed — Financial District

We're a family in the Financial District looking for a warm, experienced full-time nanny for our one-year-old daughter. She's a happy, easygoing little girl who loves to play and explore.

Responsibilities include daily care and feeding, naps and routines, engaging play and age-appropriate activities, outdoor time, and light tidying related to childcare.

We're looking for someone reliable, patient, and genuinely loving with young children, with prior experience caring for infants or toddlers. References required. CPR/first aid certification and English proficiency are a plus.

If this sounds like a good fit, please reach out with a bit about your background and experience.

A few things worth adding before you post: your hours (e.g. Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm), pay range, start date, and whether you need someone who can travel with the family, cook, or do light housekeeping. Listings with pay and hours listed tend to get much better responses.
