A little bit about us

Two sweet young girls in a house with two labs and a kitty. I am a firefighter and my husband is training to become one. We are hoping for help for a short period from August into December. After that we’d need assistance in the mornings several times a week.

The older child is fun loving and very outgoing. The one year old loves to dance and follow her sister around. Initially, we need help watching both girls 1-2 rotating days per week for up to 14 hours each day. Starting in September into December we need help on the same rotating 1-2 days in the early morning and pick up and drop off of the girls to their respective school and daycare. Then you would be with the girls in the evening until I get home. Ideally you are comfortable with high energy girls, preparing meals, doing activities outside.

The hours would be from 545am-7pm in August, 1-2 days per week following my work schedule. September-December the days would still start at 545am, but you’d be responsible for pick up and drop off times which would leave you with free hours from 8am-3pm. I know the schedule is odd and not for anyone, but we would love to make you part of our family and the support would be invaluable.

Hi! I am a student midwife, birth worker, and SAHM. We are new to Washington. My husband is active-duty military & that often leaves me with extra needed hands. We will be using military CCYH funds (this requires that you take a training, get fingerprinting, a background check & CPR/First Aid; it will be provided for you).

We are looking for someone kind, warm, patient, and adventurous for our almost 7 & 3-year-old. As a student midwife, I will have on-call hours, which may require some late or overnight care, which will be communicated.

An ideal candidate would have: - Experience caring for young children (3 & 7) - Good communication & active listening skills - CPR/First Aid certified - Reliable, patient, and attentive to my children's needs - Comfortable with meal/snack prep & cognizant of food allergies.

Ideally, I would love to have someone full-time (at least 4x a week, 9am-4:30pm). I am in school & I am in the clinic 3x a week; I could also use flexibility for when I am on-call (birth, labor, postpartum, occasional date nights).
It will mostly be for my youngest (who has a mild speech disorder, but will be in speech therapy) as my oldest is in school during the day.

Familiarity with conscious parenting is a plus. Respect for autonomy and an understanding of child development and social-emotional skills.
