We are a Teaneck-based family looking for a reliable, long-term nanny to care for our 1 year old. The position starts on October 5th and is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Since I will be returning to work but primarily working from home, we are looking for someone who can partner with me to keep the baby happy and engaged throughout the day. Your primary focus would be developmental play, maintaining a consistent nap schedule, and taking the baby out for walks or playdates for socialization. We would also appreciate help with baby-related light housekeeping, such as washing bottles and handling the baby’s laundry.
We are a dog-loving household with two playful but gentle dogs (a 65lb Border Collie and a 40lb Chow mix). While they are house-trained and don't interact much with the baby yet, it is essential that you are comfortable working in a home with large pets. We would prefer to hire someone local to Teaneck or New Jersey to ensure an easy commute without the stress of NYC traffic. I have an almost 4 month old little girl. She's sweet and a calm baby.
I'll be returning work soon and have some flexibility with working from home. Looking for 30 hours a week, Mon - Thu, ideally.
My hope is that the perfect fit would be warm natured and playful with our girl.
We do have a dog. He's older and sleeps most of the day. Pet care isn't needed, except for occasionally letting him out in the yard (he'll let you now if he needs to go). We have a fenced in a yard and is pretty good about coming in once his "business" is done.
