A little bit about us

Intelligent, energetic (adorable) 2.5 year old boy needs a nanny while mommy goes back to work. Must be willing to come to our home daily and have activities planned to keep him learning and interactive with other children in the community (library, playplaces, parks, etc.). As little tv or iPad as possible. Some late nights depending on parents’ schedules, but mostly full-time work hours to get him used to his routine. Must be CPR-certified. Other languages encouraged but must speak well enough English for communication with parents.

We’re Ethan and Helen, first-time parents in Park Slope, looking for a warm, experienced nanny for our son. He’ll be about 6 months old when the job starts in early January.

We both work hybrid schedules, so one of us is sometimes working from home. We’ll give you space to lead the day while staying close and easy to reach. The job is 40 hours a week, Monday–Friday, with full days midweek and shorter Mondays and Fridays.

We pay on the books, weekly, with paid time off and holidays. We’re looking for someone with infant experience who enjoys getting out to the park, library and classes nearby, and who wants a long-term role with a family that values clear communication and respect.

Our older son goes to school until 3pm and our younger son is expected to start school next year. At that point, we will need a nanny m-f from approximately 12-7. Until then, we are looking a babysitter for our boys on Tuesdays from approximately 3-7 and/or Fridays from 3-7 (Fridays can also be later, like 5-9 or 6-10). We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking at least one of the boys out for activities, bedtime routine, light cooking.
