I will need Monday to Friday. I need someone who can come at 7am and ensure the boys get to school safely and do typical morning things like breakfast and getting ready. This will be an hour. Then I will need afternoon coverage starting around 2/230pm until 6pm. I will need the boys picked up from school and brought home. Get them out of their school stuff and help with a snack and keep them safe and occupied till we get home from work.
The responsibilities include pickup, drop off to school, getting ready for school, breakfast and snack, and just keeping them happy and safe.

Our three high energy boys need afternoon care 5 days a week starting mid to late August. Our 18 month old will be in a traditional childcare setting in the morning (M-F), but you would need to pick him up at 1pm and bring him home for a nap. We have twin 6 year olds (1st grade) that get off the bus around 2:30. They’ll have quiet play time and a snack, until the baby wakes up at 3:30. We will ask for some light dinner prep for the kids before you leave at 4:30/5pm.
I'm open to a nanny share (you do 2-3 days a week and another nanny does 2-3 days a week), if you can be consistent and reliable on your assigned days.

What Are After-School Nanny Jobs?
After-school nanny jobs are part-time positions that cover weekday afternoons, usually from school pickup until early evening. They fit nannies who want a regular schedule, students, and people with other commitments in the morning.
Types of After-School Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities
Typical duties include school or bus-stop pickup, snacks, homework help, activities and lessons, and sometimes dinner. Some jobs include a few mornings or school holidays too. Check the school pickup time, the days per week, and whether driving is required.
How to Interview for After-School Nanny Jobs
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:
- What time is school pickup, and which days do you need care?
- Will I drive, and is a car seat or vehicle provided?
- How do you handle early dismissals and school holidays?
- What are the children's activities and routines?
- Is dinner or light housekeeping part of the job?
Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
