A little bit about us

Looking for help in the early evenings, picking kids up from school or after school activities, and getting them fed, bathed and ready for bed. It would be great if one night per week or every other week, could be a later night for an occasional date night. I am also looking for someone who will be willing to do overnight housitting and care for our furbabies ((1 dog & 1 cat) if we go out of town. I can offer a steady schedule, payroll w/ direct deposit and paid time off.

A little bit about us

Hello!

We're a family of four, with two amazing kiddos, aged 9 and 13. We're looking for a part-time nanny to help mainly with school pickups and driving the kids around to various activities. (~15 hours/week)

Our children are energetic, fun loving, kind, and have no allergies. They have had Nannies for years, so accustomed to having them in our lives. We are a smoke free and pet free home.

My husband and I we are both working parents, so we primarily need a few hours of help each day after school lets out. We live in Brier, but our daughter’s school is in Bothell and our sons in Seattle, and this role would require pickup daily at 3:40 from school and then transportation back home. All other activities are within a 10 mile radius of home. We would be willing to pay $27+ an hour DOE, and additionally cover mileage. We can guarantee 15 hours/week or possibly more if needed…but can also end earlier, if preferred. We have had great luck with UW students wanting afternoon jobs that let them ride in the HOV lane. Also, looking for our daughter pick a few days a week to in Bothell.

If you are looking for a part-time role in a guaranteed, long-term capacity, please reach out! We can be flexible as needed, and are ready to hire once everyone is comfortable.

Types of After-School Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Typical duties include school or bus-stop pickup, snacks, homework help, activities and lessons, and sometimes dinner. Some jobs include a few mornings or school holidays too. Check the school pickup time, the days per week, and whether driving is required.

How to Interview for After-School Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What time is school pickup, and which days do you need care?
  • Will I drive, and is a car seat or vehicle provided?
  • How do you handle early dismissals and school holidays?
  • What are the children's activities and routines?
  • Is dinner or light housekeeping part of the job?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative.
