A little bit about us

We are looking for a full time nanny in San Jose (Cambrian Park) starting in November. We are looking for a family to nanny share. We are looking to connect with families interested in a nanny share. Our son will be 1-year-old in November and we'd like a similar-aged baby. We are seeking a Spanish speaker who will speak exclusively Spanish to the babies. My husband is fluent. Help with light house keeping and meal prep is appreciated. We have two very shy cats who will be home during the day with you. We are seeking someone experienced with babies, who is CPR certified, for full time care Monday-Friday from 7:30-5.

A little bit about us

We are looking for a very caring part-time nanny who can help us care for our 4-month-old (by Jan 2025) baby boy at home three days a week, ideally Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

We want a nanny who is skilled at interacting with babies and helping them develop at their age. The nanny will help us with our baby's daily routine while the mom works from home. During these hours, the nanny will care for the baby and help with light chores around the house, such as baby laundry, putting away toys, washing baby bottles and light house chores.

We love a nanny with strong communication skills. Bilingualism (English and Mandarin) is preferred but not a requirement. A nanny with CPR and child-handling experience is a must.

We look forward to establishing a long-term relationship with the nanny we hired.

How to Find Bilingual Nanny Jobs in San Jose, CA

Nanny Lane connects you with families in San Jose, CA who are looking for a bilingual nanny. Create a profile that lists the languages you speak and start connecting with families that need them.

What Are Bilingual Nanny Jobs?

Bilingual nanny jobs are positions where speaking a second language is a valued part of the role. Families may want their children to learn a language, keep up a language spoken at home, or communicate with a grandparent or relative. Your language skills can set you apart from other candidates and may support a higher rate.

Types of Bilingual Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Some families want you to speak only the second language with the children, and others want a mix throughout the day. Responsibilities can include childcare, meals, activities, and reading and playing in the second language. Jobs can be full-time, part-time, or live-in, so check the schedule and expectations in each posting.

How to Interview for Bilingual Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • Which language do you want me to use, and how often?
  • How fluent do you expect me to be?
  • Do the children already speak the language?
  • Are there other adults in the home who speak it?
  • Is language teaching part of the role, or just everyday conversation?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
