A little bit about us
We’re looking for a warm, reliable nanny to help care for our son Emilio, a happy, even-tempered, and very active 19-month-old. He’s a total sweetie pie (with the occasional toddler opinion!) and we’d love someone who enjoys his energy.
The role
Hours are flexible and negotiable, part-time or full-time. Our current nanny works Mon-Thu, about 8:30am-3pm, with occasional early departures, late starts, or staying for bedtime on date nights. Pay is negotiable, starting at $25/hour.
Outings
You’ll take Emilio on outings in your own reliable vehicle (we provide the car seat) to the Atlanta History Center, Children’s Museum, Little Gym of Grant Park, and Toy Park in Decatur. We have memberships to all and offer a $20/week gas stipend.
Our home
I work from home most days, and Emilio’s Abuelita lives with us, is retired, and often joins outings. We’re hands-on but not micromanagers.
What we’re hoping for
Some Spanish (we speak it often at home; Abuelita’s English is limited)
Wash and fold of Emilio’s laundry about twice a week
Light Emilio-related organizing, like swapping his seasonal wardrobe in drawers
Prepping some food staples, like cottage cheese berry pancakes and date oat balls
Someone dependable, patient, and energetic
Requirements: References, background check, and driving record check.
Our current nanny, 24, is moving to a great opportunity in another industry and is happy to be a reference and chat with candidates about working with us.
We’re happy to chat with seriously interested candidates!

What Are Bilingual Nanny Jobs?
Bilingual nanny jobs are positions where speaking a second language is a valued part of the role. Families may want their children to learn a language, keep up a language spoken at home, or communicate with a grandparent or relative. Your language skills can set you apart from other candidates and may support a higher rate.
Types of Bilingual Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities
Some families want you to speak only the second language with the children, and others want a mix throughout the day. Responsibilities can include childcare, meals, activities, and reading and playing in the second language. Jobs can be full-time, part-time, or live-in, so check the schedule and expectations in each posting.
How to Interview for Bilingual Nanny Jobs
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:
- Which language do you want me to use, and how often?
- How fluent do you expect me to be?
- Do the children already speak the language?
- Are there other adults in the home who speak it?
- Is language teaching part of the role, or just everyday conversation?
Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
