We have an opportunity to go on a cruise November 7(MON) through the 11th
(FRI). We are looking for someone to come and stay here at our home. The older 4 kids are all in school and ride the bus. The bus stop is in front of the house. The 1 year old has fulltime daycare roughly 6 minutes from the home. The 5 year old gets picked up from school and dropped off at daycare with the baby. Daycare pick up time is 6:15 SHARP. You are welcome to relax at the house all day. We just need someone we can LITERALLY trust with our lives to make sure kids get too and from school, too and from daycare. Cook dinner for the children, get them through shower routines and bedtime on time at 8pm. Kids are to be up BY 6am. Elementary bus pick up is 7:22am while the middle school pick up is 8:15am. You will have access to the master bedroom which has a king size bed and attached master bathroom equipped with a garden jacuzzi bathtub and standup shower. We have no pets. We are in search of summer assistance Beginning May 29, 2023 and Ending August 25th.

Job details will include getting the kiddos up in the morning, fed breakfast, and taken to and from summer camps! For the most part they are very easy to maintain and Big Brother is a great help! This is not an all day job, morning to summer camps, and then afternoon pick-up from summer camps to bring back home!

Mom works during the day and dad works at night. Opposite sleep schedules calls for help getting kiddos to and from activities!

The littlest has been in PreK this year, familiar with school setting, and riding a bus.

Kiddos will be going into 5th, 2nd, & Kinder after the summer!

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?

Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.

Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.

How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
  • Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
  • What is the reason for the temporary role?
  • How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
  • What routines and house rules should I know on day one?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
