A little bit about us
We're looking for a full-time nanny (~40 hours/week) for the next 6 months for our two boys (4 month old, 2 year old). Our youngest was a preemie (2 months old adjusted) who has come home on oxygen and has Chronic Lung Disease/BPD which has resulted in PICU stays and has caused us to consider taking our oldest out of traditional daycare and get a nanny instead.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is comfortable with a child on oxygen and monitoring system.
• Must have First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Can engage my two year old both physically and intellectually with age appropriate activities. He really loves traditional daycare and the socialization but at this time we can't risk too much exposure
• Does not smoke, must be comfortable following strict illness-prevention practices and be up to date on flu/covid/Tdap vaccines
• Is comfortable with a dog in the home (4 year old Boston Terrier)
• Available Monday-Friday, 8-5. This is a consistent schedule with opportunity for extra hours over the weekend or for occasional date nights.
• Any light housework is a bonus but not expected outside of cleaning up after yourself and the boys throughout the day.
• Must pass background check and have reliable transportation.
We both work full-time with me currently in an office Mon-Fri but my husband works from home with the occasional office visit.
As parents, we're very easy going and are really just looking for someone who can help keep our youngest safe from getting exposed to too many viruses while he is still fragile while giving our oldest an exciting and engaging day that he is used to getting at traditional daycare.
We would provide all arts & crafts materials, money for adventures & really anything necessary to give you and our boys the best experience.
We look forward to hearing from you!

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?
Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.
Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities
Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.
How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:
- What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
- Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
- What is the reason for the temporary role?
- How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
- What routines and house rules should I know on day one?
Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
