A little bit about us

I have 2 kids I need someone to watch while I'm at work until I can get them into daycare. My daughter is 2 years old, she loves to play, watch movies. My son is 1 year old he is crawling around plays everywhere you will have to block the stairs off or he will climb up them. I am looking for someone with experience with infants and toddlers who is caring, loving. Responsible, reliable. Who will. Call me if there is an emergency, who has a vehicle. They might need to do some light cleaning, they will have to change my kids diapers, my daughter is trying to potty train also, she will need help with that. You will have to feed my kids breakfast and lunch, maybe a snack in between or until I get home. My kids have birth to 3 that comes and works with them you might have to be here when they come. I will be working maybe 3-4 days a week, hours might change but right now 11-3 would be hours for this week, I will be on morning shifts. We have a little kitten that might need fed also. If any questions can call me

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?

Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.

Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.

How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
  • Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
  • What is the reason for the temporary role?
  • How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
  • What routines and house rules should I know on day one?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
