More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Growing up as the oldest sister to 7 younger siblings, I’ve always been around kids and naturally took on a caregiving role. Two of my siblings are autistic, and one also has Tourette’s syndrome and schizophrenia, so I learned early on how to be patient, understanding, and dependable while helping care for their individual needs. I also babysat for families in my neighborhood throughout high school. In addition, I have professional caregiving experience working with adults, which has strengthened my patience, compassion, and ability to adapt to different needs. Caring for others has always come naturally to me, and I truly enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where children can feel comfortable and be themselves.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts, baking, playing outside, going to the park, reading books, building forts, playing board games, helping with homework, watching movies, dancing to music, and coming up with fun, creative activities. I enjoy keeping kids engaged, active, and having fun while making sure they feel safe, included, and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is making sure children feel safe, understood, and cared for like they’re my own. I’ve always naturally taken on a caregiving role, especially growing up as the oldest of seven siblings, so being patient, responsible, and attentive comes naturally to me. I know every child is different, so I try to meet them where they are, whether they need structure, comfort, encouragement, or just someone to play and laugh with them.

My experience with special needs children...

Growing up with two autistic siblings, one of whom also has Tourette’s syndrome and schizophrenia, has given me firsthand experience understanding different needs, routines, and communication styles. I also have professional caregiving experience supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. These experiences have taught me patience, compassion, flexibility, and the importance of creating a calm, supportive environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny memories was when I built a giant blanket fort with the kids that ended up taking over the entire living room. We spent the afternoon reading stories, playing games, and pretending it was our own little castle. It was such a simple day, but seeing how much fun they had made it one of my favorite memories.
