More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with kids ages 0months-12 years old for most of my life as I have lots of siblings. In high school I got to be a teachers aid for a few months and worked with kids ages 9-13
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to go swimming, going to the playground, bird watching and reading to kids. I am also a slimeologist I work as a manager at Slime co. so if you child loves slime I all here for it. I also am a huge animal lover.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of a nanny other than keeping a kid alive is truly being there and caring for them. I feel that you must make a connection in order to be the best nanny possible because not every kid is the same.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with a few kids back when I was in high school for a few months ages 9-13. This is what actually made me want to work with children as I feel that these kids don't get what they need and truly deserve.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching my little brother discover and make slime for the first time. I took him out for the day and it was absolutely amazing to watch his eyes light up.

I’m a compassionate childcare professional with a deep commitment to nurturing children through emotionally attuned, developmentally informed care. My background spans nanny experience, private preschool education, behavioral support, and trauma-informed coaching, allowing me to support children not only academically and behaviorally, but holistically.
I have experience as a private preschool teacher and possess a strong foundation in early childhood development, with a particular passion for helping children build emotional intelligence, confidence, curiosity, and healthy attachment. I believe childhood is not simply a stage to manage, but a sacred season to cultivate with patience, structure, warmth, and intentionality.
In addition to my childcare experience, I am neurodivergent friendly. I understand that every child processes the world differently, and I strive to create environments where children feel emotionally safe, understood, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Babysitter Available in Washington, DC: Katy C.
Hi there! I'm Katy, a recent graduate from University of Maryland with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Human Development. I have 4 years of experience working in childcare with children ranging anywhere from 6 months to 17 years old. I am CPR certified, have my own car for transportation, and I am able to contribute to pet care, laundry, light housekeeping, and meal prep. I have the most experience with infants and toddlers, meaning I am skilled in diaper changes, bottle and puree feeding, and developing healthy sleep habits. I have plenty of experience building rapport, thinking of educational activities on the spot, keeping children happy and engaged, and meeting them at their unique energy level. I also have experience working with Queer children, neurodiverse children, and children with mental health challenges/ special needs. It is very important to me to provide care that is inclusive and tailored to your child's/children's needs.
