A little bit about me

My name is Abbie. I am a Junior Psychology major at Georgia College. From age 4 until 12, my mom ran an in-home daycare and as I grew up I took on tasks to help her out with the children she cared for. After that I started babysitting for neighbors and family friends which then led to more permanent jobs at many different daycare's. When I was in high school I was also a member of the peer facilitation program which meant that I was in the classroom with special needs students, specifically those on the autism spectrum. I took a very special interest in this and would often help the teacher more than needed in the classroom as I wanted to acquire the skills to help children with special needs. In short, I have been around children my entire life.
