More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I bring over 10 years of dedicated childcare experience to every family I work with. I’ve had the joy of caring for children ranging from newborns to elementary school age, and I also bring six years of experience supporting children with autism in both school and social settings. My background includes substitute teaching, classroom support, camp counseling, and swim instruction for kids as young as a few months old to age 13.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m a nurturing, patient, and energetic caregiver who values play, creativity, and structure. I believe in creating a safe, positive, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and explore the world around them. Whether it’s helping with homework, diving into a craft project, planning fun outdoor adventures, or encouraging developmental milestones, I’m here to support each child’s unique journey!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, trusting relationship where children feel seen, supported, and free to be themselves. I believe every child deserves structure, love, and room to explore and express who they are without judgment. As a nanny, I take on many roles—caregiver, teacher, guide, and teammate to the family. Building trust with both the child and the parents is essential, and I view myself as part of the village that helps families thrive. Being present for everyday moments and contributing to a child’s development is a responsibility I value deeply.

My experience with special needs children...

With 6 years of experience supporting children with special needs—including verbal and nonverbal autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorders, and kiddos with physical disabilities —I’ve worked in homes, schools, camps, and therapy centers. I’m trained in DIR/Floortime and use visual schedules, transitional care, and play-based strategies to support communication, sensory regulation, and emotional growth. I focus on building strong emotional connections through high affect, responsive engagement, and child-led interaction. I create sensory-friendly spaces and adapt activities to each child’s strengths and interests. I collaborate closely with parents, therapists, and educators to ensure consistent, goal-driven care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nannying moments was helping a 5-year-old overcome their fear of learning to swim. At first, they refused to even sit near the water, so we started small—reading fun swim books, playing water-themed games, and gradually introducing pool time through playful, low-pressure exposure. I stayed patient, encouraging every tiny step. After several weeks, they finally let go of the pool edge and swam to me on their own. The pride on their face was unforgettable. Seeing their confidence grow through trust, consistency, and support reminded me how impactful even small breakthroughs can be!

I’ve been babysitting since I was 12, so for about 6 years now!! I’ve babysat for over 15 families throughout the years!! Lots of families comment on all the fun games I play with the kids!! If I come to babysit your kids, we will have such a fun time playing games, making crafts, going outside, and doing science experiments (activities depending on child’s age of course!). There will never be a dull moment!! And of course, we will always clean up our messes and make you come home to a tidy home. Any other house work I’d be happy to do! Just let me know how I can help yall out!

Right now I’m currently in college majoring in political science on a pre law track. Right now I work part time as a swim instructor, teaching little kids how to swim! I’m also an actor and work in downtown Chicago. I’ve done some commercials recently!! I also play four different instruments.
