I have babysat for 5 different families throughout my time in high school and was also a volunteer reading tutor. I am currently looking to get my degree in elementary education, and as such am often in elementary schools as an observational teacher. Last summer I worked as a craft shop instructor, where I helped many children work on crafts. I also am currently employed as a Mentor Coordinator for DREAM, a nonprofit that mentors youth. In DREAM I spend a lot of time working with kids and helping to organize events.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
It all depends on the children's interests. I love to go for walks and play pick-up sports games for more active kiddos. I also enjoy reading with kids and participating in crafts or science experiments. I would have to say my all-time favorite activity would be having a dance party.

one child loved to make different food creations. We used to make smoothies all the time. One day the child forgot to put the lid on the top of the blender and the smoothie went everywhere. This was definitely a very chaotic moment, but it was also hilarious- don't worry the mess was cleaned before mom got home.
