Making sure they’re safe is always the priority, but I also think it’s important that they still have fun, get their schoolwork or chores done, and feel comfortable, supported, and cared for.

My experience with special needs children includes volunteering with the FEAT (Families for Effective Autism Treatment) autism program, where I assisted at events and worked with different groups of children with special needs. In addition, my older brother, who is two years older than me, has high-functioning autism, so I have grown up around and am very comfortable supporting children with diverse needs.
