A little bit about me

Hi, My name is Abby! I’m twenty six and I just moved from Fort Worth Texas to Norman Oklahoma.
My childcare experience started as a young teenager; I took care of my three younger siblings, along with cooking and cleaning, while my single mother worked two jobs everyday.
Since then I’ve had 2 full time and one part time jobs as a nanny.
I’ve also worked part time for two nanny agencies, “Trusting Connections” and “Moms Best friend.” I have worked with over 300 different families and churches.
I am CPR and First Aid certified, willing to do meal prep/cooking , light housework, errands, and whatever else is needed. My goal is to make your life a little easier and less chaotic, whatever you need help with I am willing to do.

My favorite activities to do with kids are coloring/making crafts, playing outside, baking, and playing board/card games. I like to keep things light and fun and do whatever the kids I’m watching like to do.

More About Me

I worked at my church’s daycare as a seasonal summer position

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite activities to do with kids are: coloring/making crafts, playing outside, going for walks, reading, cooking/baking, and playing board/card games. I like to keep things light and fun but still educational. I usually ask the kids what their favorite things to do are and go with whatever they’d like to do next. I’m a go-with-the-flow, flexible kind of person when it comes to daily activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love that I get to work so closely with families and really get to know the kids. Kids just want to be loved. And as a nanny, I get to do that everyday. I get to make their lives just a little bit happier and that is huge for me.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have much experience with special needs children.
I’ve taken care of a few children who were autistic and one child with Down Syndrome, but that’s the extent of my experience in that particular area.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I me and my kids (Nolan, 7 Noelle, 9 and Noah, 11) decided to put on a karaoke fashion show. We all dressed up in random fancy outfits, laid down a red blanket (as a runway) and lip synced to our favorite songs while model walking down the pretend catwalk. It was such a hilarious, iconic day for all of us, we could not stop laughing! Definately my favorite memory of being a nanny.
