While I have no certifications, I have worked with children that have clear plans/directions for care relating to behavioral issues and those with autism, hearing issues, and down syndrome.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Pancake parties! I used to nanny a family with four boys over summers during high school. On Friday mornings we would have a pancake party with all the fun toppings. The boys each had jobs for the party (decorating, setting the table, and making the batter, supervising the pancakes as they were being made). It was so fun to have something they always looked forward to!
