Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've been a camp counselor for thirteen years running children's activities, I have a younger sister and watch my friend's children as well, and I have also volunteered at my mom's school (she's a teacher) with children who have special needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love listening to children talk about the things they love and getting to know them, since a lot of people don't have that patience. I love being the place where they can be their free selves, whether it's doing arts and crafts, going on nature walks, or playing games!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being someone safe that a child can always come to for support, but also an outlet for parents that allows them to trust that their parenting styles are respected and upheld. Getting to know children and seeing them become the people they are meant to be is something special.

I have volunteered with children who have autism and learned about different communication strategies and stimulating activities :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a special unicorn experience for a five year old who was going through a lot at the time. She absolutely loved it and it is still my favorite memory to this day. It makes me so happy to think about.
