A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Addy and I’m a certified EMT in the state of Wisconsin! In addition to childcare and medical experience, I’m infant and pediatric CPR/choke/head trauma/shaken baby certified (as well as a mandated reporter). I’ve worked in daycares, as a private nanny, and fostered infants with my family as a teen. Most recently, I was certified as a pediatric Behavioral Technician and worked with an age range of children with Autism and Down Syndrome. In addition to children, I have years of experience with animals, owning and caring for dogs, cats, exotics, horses, and farm animals. I have a valid driver’s license, a clean, reliable car and clean driving record. I am more than willing to have a background check ran, which will also be clean. I’m in Firefighter Paramedic school now at CVTC, so I’m looking for part time (Mon/Wed/Fri, possibly weekend) work with my hours changing each semester. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have tons of energy and love singing, dancing, and incorporating learning into play! I love being outdoors and will plan plenty of “field trips” and walks in nature. I was raised by a teacher, so I do lots and lots of reading and I enjoy sharing my love of reading with the kiddos I watch.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 72 hours of formal training as a pediatric Behavioral Technician through Central Reach online. I have months of floor time working with kiddos from 1-16 with a range of diagnosis. We taught learning techniques, daily living skills, and communication skills. I’m very comfortable with special needs children.
