More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have three years of childcare experience, including coaching gymnastics and helping teachers in a Pre-K classroom while I was in high school. As a gymnastics coach, I worked with kids of all ages and taught them new skills in a fun and safe environment. I learned how to be patient, communicate effectively, and adjust my teaching style depending on each child. One of my favorite parts was watching kids accomplish something they had been working hard on and seeing how proud they were of themselves. I also had the opportunity to assist teachers in a Pre-K classroom, where I helped with daily activities, lesson plans, and classroom management. I worked alongside teachers to teach the curriculum, including early reading, writing, math, and social skills. I helped students one-on-one when they needed extra support and enjoyed being part of their learning process as they discovered new things every day. .
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning activities that keep kids engaged and having fun. Some of my favorite things to do are arts and crafts, reading stories, baking, playing outside, and organizing games that get them moving. Since I have a background in gymnastics coaching, I also enjoy incorporating fun movement activities and helping kids stay active. I always try to create a balance between fun and learning, whether that's through educational games, helping with homework, or simply encouraging creativity and imagination.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, trusting, and supportive environment where children feel cared for and valued. A nanny is not just there to supervise, but to encourage growth, build confidence, and be someone a child can rely on. It is important to be patient, attentive, and adaptable while understanding each child’s unique personality, needs, and interests.
My experience with special needs children...
I frequently babysat a young boy with autism from the ages of 3 to 5. During that time, I helped him identify and express his emotions using visual emotion charts and supported his language development by sounding out words and reading with him. This experience taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of providing individualized support while creating a safe and encouraging environment for children to grow and thrive.
