More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For two years, I provided complete and dedicated care for one child, starting at age one through age three. My focus was on ensuring a safe and supportive environment while facilitating early developmental milestones.
Routine and Developmental Milestones: Implemented and maintained consistent schedules for sleep, meals, and play. Actively supported milestones such as the transition from crib to bed, potty training, and language development.
Nutrition: Prepared age-appropriate, nutritious, and healthy meals, including the transition from purées to solid foods.
Household Management: Maintained clean and tidy play areas and bedrooms. Handled the child's laundry and light housekeeping duties related to their care.

Language Development: Interactive book reading, singing songs, and rhyming games.
Outdoor Activities:
Exploration: Trips to the park and gentle walks to observe nature and animals.
Gross Motor Skills: Running, jumping, playing with balls, and safely using swings (always prioritizing safety and close supervision)

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part is being an extension of the family’s values and building a trusting partnership with the parents.
My primary goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children feel loved and comfortable enough to explore and grow. I deeply value actively contributing to their development, from helping them reach key milestones to fostering emotional intelligence and curiosity through play

My experience with special needs children...
I have 8 months of experience caring for a 4-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
My approach focused on providing consistent structure and routine, which were essential for their well-being. I developed the skill of reading non-verbal cues to anticipate and de-escalate emotional meltdowns, utilizing distraction techniques and self-regulation methods.
I also actively worked on:
Positive Reinforcement: Using rewards and praise to encourage communication and social development.
Life Skills: Assisting with parallel play and safely facilitating short social interactions.
Communication: Utilizing visual cues and direct language to aid in the comprehension of instructions and transitions.

The most important part about being a nanny...
When the child was about 20 months old, we were reading his favorite animal book. Instead of saying 'cow,' he insisted on calling it 'Moo-Moo!', and when I asked him what the dog was, he would point at me with great seriousness and say 'Woof-Woof!' My laughing reaction made him laugh even harder, and soon it was a game where he called me that instead of my name. It was a daily reminder of the joy found in little language mishaps.
