A little bit about me

I'm a 23 year old recent graduate student and one day I'd like to work in child development! I have a little sister of my own so I have first hand experience with kids who have endless energy. I have a passion for helping families and single parents who are in need of an extra hand. My own mother had done that for a long time and I always did my best to help her around the house. Now that I'm older, I'd like to also do the same for other families and make it easier for them to have time for themselves and to spend time with kids. I love the outdoors, pets, doing art crafts and am perfectly fine with cooking or baking!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteer in after school programs when I was in highschool where I'd pass out meals and help kids clean up after themselves. I have babysit for relatives, neighbors and friends of the family's kids. A lot of my experience comes from babysitting my relatives' and family's coworker's children. I've done this since I was in highschool so I know how to take care of all kinds of kids from super energetic to very shy and anxious.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love teaching kids how to read, helping them with homework and playing dolls and video games. I enjoy the outdoors and wouldn't mind taking kids to a park or playing in the outdoors. Seeing kids having fun, expressing their creativity and talking is heart-warming.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important aspect of being a nanny is making sure a child doesn't feel alone. As a babysitter I always gave kids attention, making sure to attend to their needs and listen to them especially if they're upset. Communication is skill that I consider to be important because I want to know about the kid I'm babysitting, how they're feeling, if they need help and I want to be there for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories was building a pillow fort and pretending to camp with a toddler and her 5 year old sister. We played with the plastic food, pretended to make a fire by gathering a bunch of pillows and calling it the fire place and I did make them smores so it could feel a little extra real.
