A little bit about me

I currently have 10+ years experience taking care of children of ages 0 - 15. I am the 7th out of 9 siblings, and have taken care of and raised multiple nephews and nieces. During high-school and college, I've taught Sunday School classes, thriving in classroom management, keeping an upbeat, and peaceful atmosphere, tending to the needs of the children in my class. Some of my work experience has been gained while working at the Kroc Center, in the children department. I've continued my career by making the most out of my bachelor's in Social work, and began serving families of children with autism. I've served as a behavioral therapist for 6+ years, with at least 2 of those years being a trainer. Last, but the most significant experience to me, is my own 4 year old boy. He's changed me and how I approach taking care of other people's children. Some of the things we love to do together are reading books, visiting libraries, parks, staying active, cooking and gardening together.

I have 6+ years experience working with children with autism in both home setting and center based therapy. During 2 of those years, I've also trained other therapists for excellence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

While working with children with autism, I think my most proud and happy moment was seeing the children I worked with grow until they graduate. Bitter sweet moments, but I felt so proud of the work I and them have put into working together.
