Hey! I'm Adriana (pronounced 'Aw-driana'). I'm an experienced and passionate childcare professional. In my eight years doing this work, I've discovered just how much I love aiding families in raising their children. I am extremely detail oriented and passionate in taking a holistic approach to childcare.

I have taught children important skills like reading, writing, practical fine motor use, bike riding, and potty-training. I also excel in teaching social-emotional skills like critical-thinking, emotional regulation, body safety, confidence, and manners.

In my time in babysitting and nannying, I've also done my fair share of dogsitting. Big or small - as long as they're trained, we're sure to get along.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Board games and card games are some of my favorite ways to play with children. It's a chill and easy way to build various skills, and it's always fun to get to know a kid's competitive side.

In the colder months, I've found that modified sports can be surprisingly fun for when we're stuck indoors. A game I really enjoy is one I like to call 'Floor Tennis', where players use rackets to roll the ball back and forth on the floor.

During the summer I love swimming, scavenger hunts, and whatever new type of tag the kids can come up with.

In my opinion, the most important part about being a nanny is a good relationship between primary caregivers. Parents and nannies should have solid communication and mutual respect. Together, we build a strong foundation for the children to receive cohesive and effective guidance.

Watching my four year old stick up for herself on the playground!

We'd spent weeks working on getting her confident with telling people to give her space when she was uncomfortable. One day on the playground, a friend wasn't playing very safely with her. She spent a good few minutes telling this friend to give her space so that she could feel safe while playing. She didn't give up, even when the friend didn't listen and started to get upset.

After her friend finally listened, I could see that my four year old felt so proud of herself. She had a big smile on her face and came over to tell me all about it. Hands down my proudest moment!
