A little bit about me

Hello there! I'm Adriana - I am a recent graduate from the University of Southern California; school is the reason I moved out here to LA about 5 years ago now (from Dallas). I absolutely love kids. I nannied a lot in high school and I also have a little sister of my own (currently 10) that I feel has taught me a LOT about kids. Being a theatre and film major, I feel I am well equipped to be really imaginative with your child/children. I am really active - I love doing hands-on activities and spending time in the outdoors! My cooking skills have been something that has definitely rapidly improved and I feel confident I can assist in making meals here and there. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For several summers I volunteered at varying vacation bible schools/summer camps as a camp counselor for kids ranging from ages 2-7. These jobs involved me taking care of 15-20 kids at a time and coming up with activities for them to do during the day. I got really creative in the many crafts and activities we did making sure to always put the kids first while still serving as their guide. I also always like to include that I have an 8-year-old sister that I have been consistently taking care of since she was born. I've learned a lot about different needs kids have ranging from being only a few months old to older.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some indoor activities I love doing are crafts such as making slime, coloring, painting, etc. I also love baking with the kids. I also love playing games such as checkers, chess, board games, etc. Some outdoor activities I enjoy are going swimming, biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, going on hikes, going to the beach, having picnics, etc. I really just love being in the outdoors so most outdoor activities I love to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is making sure the child/children feel comfortable and want to be around their nannies. In no way, shape, or form would I want to be someone the children fear and dread to spend time with. I think it's important on my end to make the children feel loved and given the proper attention so that we may build a mutual relationship that we both very much enjoy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have no experience with special needs children but I am really open to learning. I definitely find myself capable of possessing the skill set necessary to fulfill this role.
