I’m now attending Columbia College to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and loving relationship with the child and their family. It’s about creating a safe, supportive space where children feel seen, heard, and encouraged to grow. Being a nanny means showing up with patience, positivity, and genuine care helping little ones learn, laugh, and feel confident as they explore the world around them.

One of my favorite moments was during circle time while reading “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.” As I read the silly parts, one of my three-year-olds shouted, “She’s gonna BURP!” and the whole class burst into giggles. They were so engaged, trying to guess what she’d swallow next. It was such a fun moment filled with laughter, imagination, and storytelling and reminded me how much joy books can bring to little ones when we make them come alive!
