A little bit about me

My teaching style is play-based, nature-based, and child-led. I like to focus on teaching self-regulation and problem-solving techniques and using positive guidance and redirection techniques to reinforce these skills. In all ways, I want to encourage autonomy and consistent expectations. I love to sing and find it very important in Early Childhood Development.
Much of my experience comes from my time at The Robin's Nest. A small center, nature-based, eco-friendly, and Waldorf inspired center. I served in a variety of roles in my time at The Robin's Nest: Assistant Director,
Director, Head Teacher, and Lead Teacher. I trained staff and ensured developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum were available for each classroom. I worked one-on-one with our other lead teachers to develop a rhythm in their classroom, develop classroom management skills, and work with children who had developmental disabilities or needed other accommodations.
