More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered in a 1st grade classroom where I helped students with reading, writing, and daily activities. Many of the children had behavior challenges, and I supported the teacher by helping manage the classroom, keeping students engaged, and creating a calm and positive learning space.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going to the park with kids, playing games like hide and seek or tag and reading books together. I also enjoy doing crafts, drawing, and helping with fun learning activities that keep them engaged and happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is having patience. Kids can sometimes be a lot to handle and may test boundaries, but it’s important to remember they’re still learning and growing. Being patient helps you stay calm and understanding, which makes it easier to guide them and build trust. It not only helps the child but also helps you become a better caregiver.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with many children with special needs since I was a teacher’s assistant for a special needs class in high school. I helped students with daily activities, communication, and learning routines in a patient and supportive way. It was very rewarding to see their progress and to know I could make a child’s day a little brighter.

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Kairi K.
Hi I’m Kairi! Im a freshman in college and I have tons of childcare experience. I love working with children because I believe it’s important to help have a positive impact on others, especially adolescents. I am helpful, kind, and don’t mind messes! Children are always learning and observing. One of my core values when it comes to babysitting/nannying is to always have a positive impact on the child because they learn by example. I am neat, I love to bake and don’t mind meal prepping, and I am patient. I have a car so I do not mind picking up/dropping off children.

Full-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Ashley D.
Hi, my name is Ashley! I am the second oldest of four children, so I grew up helping to care for my younger sisters from an early age. During college at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, I studied Genetics with minors in Art and Dance, and I also worked as a ballet teacher for children ages 3–12. Teaching ballet gave me experience guiding kids in a fun but structured environment while encouraging confidence, creativity, and discipline. Beyond that, I spent over five years working in scientific research, where I honed my patience, organization, and problem-solving skills — all qualities that carry directly into childcare. I’ve also babysat for family friends and neighbors and mentored younger students throughout school. These experiences have taught me the importance of creating a safe, supportive, and engaging space where children can thrive. With my mix of science and creativity, I enjoy weaving learning, crafts, and outdoor adventures into everyday care.
