Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love sharing time uplifting children's creativity, whether it's an artistic venture of painting or fostering curiosity with time spent outside, I believe imagination to be a crucial part of teaching children critical thinking and empathy and surround activities with an educational purpose in mind. A few of my personal hobbies are painting, soccer, baking, and reading. I feel that these activities or aspects of them could easily be included in childcare.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Ensuring a child a safe outlet for their emotions met with no frustration or impatience. My favourite part of caring for children is the opportunity to play, I love challenging a child’s imagination and attention span with creativity, especially with the growing dependency on technology, I feel it is crucial to emphasize expression in children. Whether its art, dance, or following the child in leading their own version of play, making their ideas and individuality seem encouraged to express is my biggest goal.
My experience with special needs children...
Nannying has been my passion since I was a little girl. I was born with an autistic nonverbal twin, I had been the middleman in communicating her emotions, assisting her in emotional development through representing family relationships and behavior through toys, and monitoring her behaviour and relationships around others in our classes since kindergarten together. My personal on hand growth alongside a family member with special needs has taught me crucial insight into the patience and special attention required to operating at their individual pace, while providing a safe environment for their expression and individual growth.
