A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Aislynn, and I’m a 20-year-old college student working toward becoming a K–3 teacher. I come from a big family of six, and my siblings and I are incredibly close — I have two older sisters and a younger brother, and we're all best friends.

Animals have always held a special place in my heart. I have two cats of my own who mean the world to me, and I also live in a home with five large dogs and two more cats — it’s a full house, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’m passionate about all kinds of art — from literature and architecture to both 2D and 3D creations. I love making crafts, coloring, and exploring anything art-related. Reading is another one of my favorite hobbies, especially fantasy books.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

While I haven’t been a nanny yet, I do have valuable experience working with children. I’ve babysat for a family with four kids and worked at a campground where I served as a lifeguard and helped lead a variety of recreational activities.

At the campground, I was involved in Kids Club, where we read stories, played games, and made crafts with younger children. I also helped run Preteen programs, which focused on games and activities for older kids. One of the highlights was organizing fun "kids vs. staff" games like dodgeball and kickball!

In addition to my childcare experience, I’ve also worked as a house cleaner and would be happy to help out with tidying and light housework. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, so you can feel confident that safety is always a priority when your children are in my care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When I’m with kids, I love finding fun and creative ways to keep them engaged. I really enjoy doing crafts together — whether we’re coloring, painting, or making something cool out of paper and glue. Reading stories is another favorite of mine, especially when we can make it extra fun with voices or acting things out. I also love spending time outside, playing tag, going on little nature walks, or organizing simple games like kickball. But most of all, I enjoy getting to know each child and doing activities that they genuinely love and get excited about.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where kids feel comfortable to be themselves, grow, and have fun. Building trust with both the children and their parents is key — it’s about being reliable, caring, and truly present. I believe that when kids feel seen, heard, and cared for, it helps them thrive emotionally, socially, and even creatively. Being a positive role model and someone they can count on means everything.
