To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the child and the family. The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when I helped a 4-year-old I was caring for learn how to write her name for the first time. We had been practicing for a few weeks with fun, creative activities like tracing letters in sand and using finger paint. The day she proudly wrote her name all by herself, she looked up at me with the biggest smile, and we both celebrated like it was a huge victory, because it was! Moments like that remind me how rewarding it is to be part of a child’s growth and confidence. It’s those little milestones that make this work so meaningful to me.
