Well i’m the oldest of 8 (youngest is 3) so i grew up taking care of my siblings. i also volunteered at my church to watch the toddlers during service. I’ve also babysat for kids of family friends and during family gatherings.

A young girl i used to watch when i volunteered at the church was super smart. I believe she was only 3 and she’d be able to answer all the questions the teacher had for them. She was very quiet and wouldn’t really communicate with her peers so i tried my best to get her to laugh and play around with them. During my last few weeks of volunteering she was all over the place talking to everyone and she even started getting more comfortable with me. A couple weeks ago I saw her at a father daughter event i helped volunteer for, and to my surprise she remembered me even though i haven’t seen her in about a year. It’s my favorite thing to think about considering i’ve made enough of an impact on her that not only did she remember me but she told her father about me.
