A little bit about me

Hi! I’m a Choral Music Education student at the University of Northern Iowa, home for the summer and looking to nanny or babysit part-time. I’ve worked with children of all ages—from infants in a daycare baby room (ages 0–1) to older kids through my work directing a children’s choir (3rd–9th grade). I’ve also babysat for local families while at school, gaining experience with everything from bottle feeding and diaper changes to helping with homework and bedtime routines.

I genuinely love working with kids and hope to become a teacher because of how rewarding it is to support their growth and creativity. I enjoy being active with the kids—playing outside, going on walks, doing crafts, and creating a fun and safe environment. I’m happy to help with light housework, I’m great with pets, and I always aim to make life easier for the families I work with.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked in a licensed daycare in the infant room, nannied toddlers and elementary-age kids, and led music activities for children through a choir program. I’ve also babysat regularly while in college and have experience managing routines, preparing meals, helping with schoolwork, and planning fun activities.

I love being active and creative with kids—whether it’s going for walks, swimming, making crafts, singing songs, baking, or playing outside. I’m also a big fan of story time, music games, and any activity that sparks imagination and learning.

The most important part of being a nanny is building trust—with both the children and the family. It’s about creating a space where kids feel safe, seen, and valued, and where parents can feel confident their child is in caring hands. Every interaction matters, and I strive to be a positive, consistent presence in a child’s life.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the privilege of working with children with special needs both personally and through the Spectrum Project at the University of Northern Iowa, where I helped support kids with a variety of developmental and physical needs through music and movement. I also have a younger sister with autism who is now 10 years old, and I’ve helped care for her for many years.
