A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Alaya Williams, and I’m a 21-year-old student at East Carolina University, majoring in nursing with a minor in psychology. I currently work as a certified nursing assistant in the surgical oncology department at my hospital, which has given me a strong foundation in caring for others and managing responsibilities in a healthcare setting.

I am also a certified behavioral technician and have experience working with children with special needs, particularly autism, from preschool to middle school. Being the oldest of two sisters has also given me long-term, hands-on experience in caring for and managing children.

On campus, I enjoy participating in extracurriculars such as being a teacher’s assistant and serving as vice president of a psychology honor society club. I also manage my own household with my partner, which has strengthened my organizational and multitasking skills.
