I have endless fun game ideas for different ages. Setting up art projects or teaching kids how to make new foods are some of my favorite things to do. We will always clean up our messes too!
My experience with special needs children...
I previously cared for a 12-year-old boy with autism. He sometimes experienced frustration and emotional dysregulation, which I handled with patience, calm communication, and consistency. I focused on speaking to him in a gentle, reassuring way, helping him regulate his emotions and feel safe. I was responsible for school pickup and spending afternoons and evenings together. We often went for walks to the park and engaged in calming, creative activities such as crafts and painting, which helped him relax and stay engaged.
