I’ve never consistently worked with special needs children but I’ve watched a toddler with Down syndrome for a couple months. My younger cousin is also on the spectrum so I’m used to certain procedures or care needed for special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite babysitting moment was when one of my kids was a little behind in walking. She could stand but had bad jelly legs. We worked really hard in getting her legs stronger and it payed off when she started walking on her own. It was amazing to see her growth over those months.
