More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I began working with children as a volunteer at the YMCA, where I later joined the childcare department. There, I’ve supported students with homework, led arts and crafts, cooking projects, and facilitated physical activities, all while teaching core values like respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty.
In 2021, I worked at the Sportsplex, a family-oriented facility that hosts hockey and soccer programs. I supported their “Little Kickers” program, helping introduce young children to sports in a fun and encouraging environment.
Beyond that, I’ve also worked in elementary classrooms, supporting TK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students, as well as serving as a Site Coordinator where I oversaw afterschool programming for 100+ children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outdoors with kids—going on hikes, having picnics at the park, or visiting petting zoos and animal shelters. I’m also a dancer and enjoy staying active, so I encourage children to join in fun physical activities that keep them moving and exploring.
Creativity is just as important to me, so I enjoy painting, crafts, and projects that allow kids to express themselves. While I appreciate the role of technology, I like to stay in the moment with children and guide them toward hands-on activities that build motor skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving in real-world ways.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong partnership with the parents—staying on the same page, openly communicating, and working together to meet the child’s needs. Every child is unique, so it’s essential to be patient, adaptable, and flexible, while providing care that supports their individual growth and personality.
My experience with special needs children...
During my time as a Site Coordinator with Think Together, I supported both my own site and assisted other programs, which gave me strong experience working with students who had 504 plans and accommodations. I learned how to adapt programming and provide the support each child needed to succeed.
I also worked at Second Start School as a secretary, where I had daily interactions with students with special needs. With the guidance of teachers and staff, I built confidence in supporting these students, learning strategies to communicate effectively and practice patience.
Combined with my background in Child Development and Education, these experiences have helped me develop the skills and mindset to work with children of all abilities in a supportive, respectful, and inclusive way.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was simply seeing the parents’ satisfaction in knowing I had met their expectations and built a trusting relationship. That foundation not only reassured the family but, most importantly, benefited the child—and at the end of the day, that’s what matters most to me.
Although I’ve been working in the nonprofit and education world recently, I carry that same passion for supporting children and families, and I’m excited to return to nannying because it’s such meaningful, rewarding work.
