Hi I'm Alex! I just finished my freshman year studying theatre at the University of Illinois. Youth theatre has been my passion and so working with children is naturally something I love. Although I had a successful year in school, it has become even more evident to me that my real passion is working directly with kids in a home environment that enables partnership with parents and deep long term relationships with the children. I have worked with children for 5 years doing everything from babysitting and tutoring to after-school caregiving and being a teacher’s assistant in a kindergarten classroom.
As a nanny, I am patient, flexible, positive, and receptive to adapting my childcare approach to the needs of each specific child. I work to create an environment of supportive exploration to nurture each child's individual creativity, curiosity and gifts. I am hoping to build a long term connection with a caring family and be a role model, support system, and guide as the children grow.
