Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In the past, I have worked in daycares in the infant room. Through my experience in college, I have worked in infant settings, toddler settings, early learning facilities (P-K), and elementary schools. I have experience with children with special needs, as well as Spanish Immersion as a Spanish teacher. I also interned during my Master's program at an elementary school for one semester and a middle school in my last semester.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love both indoor and outdoor activities such as arts and crafts, reading, puzzles, board games, watching movies, playing video games, sports, hiking/walking, and playing outside(all kinds of weather!)
The most important part about being a nanny...
is creating a strong bond between the child(ren) and the nanny. Not only do you want to love and care for that child, but you want them to feel safe and find comfort in you as well.
My experience with special needs children...
I am certified in the State of Delaware to teach children who have special needs. During my field experience as a student teacher, I worked with children who had IEPs in order to support their learning goals. As a teacher, I regularly followed IEP accommodations for 10+ students in my classroom per year.
