More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My first job was at a reggio/montessori style childcare center where I worked for two years. I was both a teacher assistant and lead teacher at this time and assisted with supervising students, keeping the classroom clean, adhering to the daily schedule, and planning activities that were hands on and enriching. At the center I worked with ages from newborn to grade school age.
Currently I work as a kindergarten teacher assistant where I assist in supervising the students and ensuring the daily schedule is followed. I also assist with small group planning and teach small group lessons that are engaging and hands on.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
One of my favorite things in childcare is to get the kids out of the house, I enjoy taking walks to the park and playing in water on hot days with the kids. If the weather is nice I enjoy having picnics for lunch time.
On rainy days I like to find activities that keep the kids engaged and allows them to explore creatively. A great activity is loose parts play, finding different items such as pipe cleaners and buttons and letting the children use their imagination is where the magic happens!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is paying attention to the child! Typically, children will tell you exactly what they need or want but it might not always be through words. Watching how the child interacts with the world and making note of changes in behavior can help you adjust throughout the day to help them have the best day they can.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments happen when a child you’ve been working with for some time shows what they’ve learned by putting it into action. Weather it’s through cleaning without being asked to or offering to be another child’s friend.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Charleston, SC: Caroline D.
My name is Caroline DiMarco, and I am twenty-three years old. I grew up in Bay Village, Ohio, and have spent the last few years in Kansas City while attending KU. I was a pre-nursing major, but have decided to no longer pursue the nursing field. However, I am still working towards a career in healthcare. I am interested in becoming a speech pathologist with a focus on pediatrics. I love drawing, writing, painting, and crafting. I am interested in studying science and language, and value life-long learning. I love to travel and explore! I am also passionate about staying healthy and active, and I commonly participate in swimming, dance, yoga, and hiking with my parent's dogs. I also enjoy cooking for my family and friends! I worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor for two summers for children ages two to twelve. I also have had a few wonderful volunteer opportunities over the years such as a summer art camp for children, an adapted soccer program, and tutoring at a local school.
