I worked for Clay-Platte Montessori School as a guide for around a year, but have recently decided a more one-on-one (or two or three) childcare approach would be much better suited for me.

I am very passionate about making education fun and playful for children! I believe that children need enjoyable enrichment for development. I am not afraid to get dirty in the rain or mud for outside activities either, as I believe outdoor time is critical.
The most important part about being a nanny...
While I have never been in a nanny-specific role, I absolutely love the idea of being able to form a relationship with the whole family. I feel that this would enable me to provide much more meaningful connections with a specific child, which is crucial in childcare. The feeling of a child trusting and loving you enough to freely express emotion, seek comfort, and be inquisitive about the world around them is second to nothing in my eyes.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked extensively with children on the spectrum in my previous role, and I believe that my approach is incredibly helpful with these kiddos. In my experience with a little extra patience and flexibility, they will thrive in any situation! I do not have much experience beyond ASD and ADHD, however I am more than willing to learn and very able to adapt to any situation.
