More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My most recent experience with caring for children was a 2 and a 4 year old. What we had done through out the day was, wake up at 7:30am. We would do basic get ready for the day such as brush teeth, comb hair and pick an outfit out. After that we would eat breakfast, depending on what they were feeling like eating. Then we would go outside, or downstairs to the playroom, again depending on how they were feeling and wait until it was lunch time. Some activities we would do is go to the park, or go outside in the backyard and play on the playground. After that we would go back inside and eat lunch. After lunch I would put the 2 year old down for a nap, and the 4 year old and I would go watch a movie. Throughout they day for the 2 year old I would do diaper changes throughout the day. I would then wake up the 2 year old, we would all have snack and play while we wait for the parents to get home.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some activities I enjoy doing with the children are swimming, going for a walk, going to the park, hopping around on the trampoline, going to the beach, coloring, reading, writing, arts and crafts, go to the movies. ( But of course all of these would have to be okay with the parents first).
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part about being a nanny is creating a connection with the kids, and treating them as if they are my own.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked as a paraprofessional in a high school and learned a lot from there. I learned how to communicate with them when they were feeling overwhelmed. I had learned how to calm them down and make them feel safe. Some of them needed hugs, and some just needed to talk. It really did just depend on each individual kiddo. My cousins is special needs as well. I worked with him on his motor skills, and speech therapy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny memories would have to be when I had taken them to the state fair. Seeing their faces light up with pure joy by seeing all the rides, food and toys was the best highlight of nannying. Especially when they would win something.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Denver, CO: Maggie P.
I grew up in a big family (25+ cousins younger than me) and have always had a love for child care. I babysat all throughout college part time, graduated and quickly realized that an office job was not meant for me. I accepted a full time nanny position for two families a year later. It was a unique situation between two neighborhood families that were pregnant at the same time. I started when the children were 3 months old and was with them until they started 3 year old preschool. I am currently in an Executive Assistant role, but am looking to get back to doing what I love and am truly my best at, being a full time Nanny. I have infant, toddler, preschool and elementary experience.
