A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Alexa and although I don’t have any experience nannying yet, I have lots of professional experience with early education. At only the age of 17 I started off as an assistant teacher of the preschool class at apple a daycare learning center in wenatchee washington. By the end of the year, my ending position was the lead one year old teacher. Unfortunately I was only allowed a year at the daycare due to it permanently closing after the covid 19 outbreak. Thankfully, I was given all the experience needed while working there due to the fact that between my starting position and ending position, i was a substitute/ float which allowed me to connect, and really get to know each child of each age group. I don’t mind helping prepare meals or tidying up since I am very used to doing so for typically 10+ children at a time! Child care is something i’m extremely passionate about and I hope to be able to get to know you and your littles!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is getting to know each child and getting to know what methods work, and do not work for said child. Keeping in mind that each child learns at a different pace, remembering that what may work for another child may not work for the other is also important. Teaching children to respect those who care for them is also very important to me. Teaching them to follow instructions then guiding them into hopefully WANTING to follow instructions and creating healthy habits.
