Communication. I always feel communication is one of the biggest things with everything in life. Whether it is with the child or with the guardian, it is important to know what is happening or what is wanted.
Working well under pressure. Working well in stressful times/environments is needed, especially if it is important. Thinking and being quick on your feet is a skill many people do not posses.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Learning how intelligent kids are for their age. That has always been a bitter sweet moment for me when I was a camp counselor.
Also, watching them laugh and enjoy what they’re doing is really heart warming to me. There truly is nothing is better than laughter, and I love to laugh.
