A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Alexandria I am a 27 year old mom due for baby number #3 in june. I also have a son who is 3 and in preschool, and a daughter who is 9 months old. I have many years of experience working with children of all ages. I have worked in 2 different school districts as a tutor or classroom assistant. I have worked with kids grades pre-k through 3rd grade. I have also been a nanny for many families, with children ranging from just days old to children age 13. I have 6 years experience as a babysitter or nanny from the time I was 13 until I was 19. And then I switch careers for a little while and was a housekeeper from age 19 until 23 then I returned to working with children this time in schools as a tutor for kids K- 3rd grade for a year and then I transitioned to working in the preschool department as a classroom assistant and a tutor. I love working with children and find it is a very rewarding career that leaves me happy and feeling fulfilled at the end of each day.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing many activities with the children I care for. We do fun things like make crafts, do puzzles, play board games. We learn and read books and explore our environment finding new things everyday. In the summer I love to go swimming and play in the sprinkler, as well as play outdoor games like tag, hide and seek, soccer or throw a base ball,walk in nature and explore the world arpund us. In the winter I love making snowmen, building snow forts and sledding. I also love having the occasional dance party with the kids or playing in the bubble machine. I play make believe fun where we have tea parties or pretend to be a chef or fireman or police officer or anything else their amazing minds can come up with. I like drawing and coloring, as well as watching the occasional movie and relaxing. I am no good at video games but will participate if requested. I also help with homework and tutoring as needed.
