Hello my name is Alex but everyone calls me Honey. I am a local Nanny with some open availability that may work for your schedule! I have been working with kids as a nanny, teaching aikido, and as an after-school program counselor. I have taken classes for child development, first aid CPR, and child abuse and neglect. Other skills include cooking, light cleaning, singing, ukulele, dancing and visual art. I have a valid CA license and a reliable vehicle.

Right now I am available for full time or part time….Flexible in my availability for random extra hours or date nights as well.

I love comedy and making people smile! I have been told that I have a lot of vibrant energy and I like to share that with the families I work for. "Hi! Alex has been regularly sitting our 6th grader for several months. She's great! Alex provides the right about of structure and independence for Emma. Emma likes to think she's old enough not to need a babysitter. Emma appreciates her like a very cool older sister and always asks for Alex to come, which has not been the case for other sitters! Alex has always been very responsible and safe and has even helped out with some chores around the house! Excellent communication. Highly recommended!"

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in the kids club at 24 hour fitness as well as LA fitness. I also worked for a after-school program in Corte Madera called Andrews camps. I also teach Aikido to kids ages 5 to 15

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite thing to do with children is dance! I have all kinds of interest that include singing, baking, playing Legos, reading, going on rain walks to the library and picking lemons and making homemade lemonade.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most memorable moment was working with a 5 year old and talking about the importance appreciating what your parents do for you.
There was another time with the same boy that I had begun teaching him how to play piano. After dropping him off at the Jewish community center that afternoon, he said to me; "all I want to do is play piano"
